The BK Motorsports team once again invaded the Junction
Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska and the I-80
Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, as both Bill Koons and
son Billy Koons, Jr. entered NASCAR weekly programs on
July 24-25. At Junction Motor Speedway on Saturday, Billy,
Jr. started fourth and finished fourth in the A-Main,
while his dad moved up two spots in the feature to finish
in the fifth position. On Sunday at I-80, both drivers
won their respective heat races in preliminary action
before having problems in the main event. Billy, Jr. wound
up nineteenth in the final rundown of the A-Main, while
Bill brought his #29 machine home in the twenty-third

Bill Koons and son Billy Koons, Jr. traveled to the Junction
Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, Nebraska and the I-80
Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 17-18 for a pair
of NASCAR weekly Late Model programs. On Saturday evening
at Junction Motor Speedway, both drivers found themselves
in the top ten of the feature event. Bill ran third in
heat race action prior to finishing sixth in the A-Main.
Billy, on the other hand, finished fourth in his heat
race before landing a ninth place performance in the main
event.
At I-80 on Sunday, a pair of NASCAR feature events headlined
the program. Bill charged past thirteen competitors in
the first A-Main to score a strong fifth place finish,
while he wound up sixteenth in the final rundown of the
second main event. Billy finished twenty-second and twenty-fifth
respectively in the pair of races at I-80 on Sunday. Complete

The BK Motorsports team invaded the Junction Motor Speedway
in McCool Junction, Nebraska and the I-80 Speedway in
Greenwood, Nebraska on July 10-11. On Saturday night at
JMS, Bill Koons drove his #29 entry to a fourteenth place
finish in the NASCAR sanctioned feature event, while his
son Billy Koons, Jr. wound up ninth in the final rundown.
Billy, Jr. was the lone driver in action on Sunday at
I-80, as he ran second in his heat race before retiring
early from the A-Main in the twenty-fourth spot. Complete

Omaha, Nebraska native Bill Koons competed in a pair of
$3,000 to win programs on July 1-2 in the Hawkeye State
of Iowa and the Cornhusker State of Nebraska. Bill finished
seventeenth in the MARS DIRTcar Series main event on Thursday
at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa and eighteenth
in the MARS / MLRA / NCRA tri-sanctioned showdown on Friday
at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska.
In other news over the weekend, car owner Bill Koons
and Al Purkey amicably parted ways and will not race together
for the remainder of the 2010 campaign. The two parties
mutually agreed to dissolve the partnership and the BK
Motorsports team wishes Al the best in his future endeavors!

JUNE 28, 2010
The Bill Koons Motorsports team had an ultra-busy extended
weekend from June 24-27 in the states of Missouri and
Nebraska. Bill Koons and Al Purkey both entered a trio
of $3,000 to win Lucas Oil MLRA Series showdowns. Bill
finished twelfth on Thursday at the 24 Raceway in Moberly,
Missouri, eighteenth on Friday at the State Fair Speedway
in Sedalia, Missouri, and nineteenth on Saturday at the
Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri. Al, on the
other hand, ran fourteenth after breaking late in the
race at Moberly and fifth at both Sedalia and Springfield.
Billy Koons, Jr. was the third BK Motorsports driver
in action over the weekend. He won his heat race on Sunday
at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska and later
finished seventh in the final rundown of the NASCAR weekly
