Omaha, Nebraska native Bill Koons was back in action at
the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on Friday evening,
May 11. Another $900 to win NASCAR Late Model weekly show
was held at I-80 over the weekend. Bill was involved in
a heat race incident, but soldiered on to finish in the
fifth spot. After starting the A-Main from the outside
of the second row, Bill unfortunately felt the effects
of that prelim wreck. A bent j-bar made the car virtually
impossible to drive and he was forced to retire early
in the seventeenth position. Complete results can be viewed
